IRS Seeks a Few Good Men and Women
The IRS is stepping up its drive to recruit the agents it’s going to need to implement President Obama’s ambitious plans for tighter enforcement. Commissioner Doug Shulman is touting his organization as “ a great place to work and build a career. … Our goal is to make the IRS the best place to work in government.” The agency has released a series of videos in which employees talk about their jobs; an international examiner, for example, describes the benefits as “fantastic,” and clearly enjoys the travel opportunities. Plus, she says, you get to meet “interesting, smart, truly gifted people” (and tax them, I guess). ###
